Visit to Tun. Dr Mahathir Mohamad

On Wednesday 17th June 2009 Muhammad Umar Chairman of 2IMUC along with Edward Jules Media Secretary to the Malaysian Foreign Minister visited HE Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia at his offices at the Perdana Leadership Foundation in Putrajaya Malaysia.

During the private meeting which lasted for over an hour Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad along with Muhammad Umar discussed many issues specifically on Muslim Unity and how to work towards Unity.

Muhammad Umar Chairman of 2IMUC comments, "It was my pleasure to once again meet one of the most respected and influential Muslim leaders of modern time, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is a remarkable leader with a unique vision on how to achieve Muslim Unity, we sincere hope he shares his vision at the 2IMUC”.

Appointment of Bakary Drame on ESC

Announcement of the appointment of HE Ambassador Bakary Drame on the Executive Steering Committee

On Thursday 25th June 2009 Muhammad Umar Chairman of 2IMUC along with Mohammed Khan Co-Director of USA for 2IMUC and Mohammed Saddiq Director of Communications Ramadhan Foundation made a courtesy visit HE Ambassador Bakary Drame.

During the visit Muhammad Umar requested that his HE Ambassador Bakary Drame participate as a guest speaker at the 2IMUC and also to join the Executive Steering Committee as the Director of Africa for 2IMUC, HE Ambassador Bakary Drame accepted the invitation and post of Director of Africa for 2IMUC.

Muhammad Umar Chairman of 2IMUC comments, "We welcome HE Ambassador Bakary Drame on to our executive steering committee, his vast experience of Islam in Africa will enable the 2IMUC to reach out to the Muslims of Africa".

On Thursday 25th June 09 Muhammad Umar Chairman of 2IMUC along with HE Dr Abdur Rahman al Jarrar Director of Middle East for 2IMUC, Mohammed Khan Co-Director of USA for 2IMUC and Mohammed Saddiq Director of Communications Ramadhan Foundation made a courtesy visit to the house of HE Sayed Ali Hashmi Special Advisor to HM The President of UAE.

During the visit Muhammad Umar extended a special invitation for HE Sayed Ali Hashmi to be one of the Chief guest speakers at the 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention, which Sayed Ali Hashmi gracious accepted.

Muhammad Umar chairman of 2IMUC comments, "It will be our pleasure to have Sayed Ali Hashmi at the convention, he is one of the world's leading Islamic scholars who is highly respected for his immense knowledge and wisdom."

On Wednesday 22nd July 2009 Muhammad bin Bayyah Director of PR Middle East for 2IMUC confirmed the participation of both Habib Ali Jifri and Shaykh Salman al Oudah as guest speakers at the 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention.

Muhammad Umar Chairman of 2IMUC comments, “I am delighted to hear that both Habib Ali Jifri & Shaykh Salman al Oudah will be coming to our convention, having these two remarkable individuals will definitely take this convention to an even more prestigious position God willing”.

We look forward to welcoming both individuals to Kuala Lumpur in December.

Appointment of new Director

Monday 6th July 2009 - New Appointment to our Executive Committee

Muhammad Umar Chairman of Ramadhan Foundation announces the appointment of Muhammad bin Bayyah as the new Director of Public Relations for the Middle East.

Muhammad bin Bayyah is the son of HE Shaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah one of the most renowned and learned scholars of Islam. Shaykh bin Bayyah is also one of the chief guest speakers at 2IMUC.

Muhammad bin Bayyah will be responsible for all public relations in the Middle East, he will also project manage all invitations for Arab scholars in the Middle-East for 2IMUC. He will report directly to the Chairman Muhammad Umar and the Director of Middle East HE Dr Abdur Rahman al Jarrar.

Appointment of new Director of Middle East

Official appointment of HR Dr Jarrar as Director of Middle East for 2IMUC

On Wednesday 24th June 2009 Muhammad Umar Chairman of Ramadhan Foundation extended an invitation for the post of Director of Middle East for 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention to His Excellency Dr Abdur Rahman al Jarrar, special advisor to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum UAE Prime Minister and Vice-President, and Ruler of Dubai.

HE Dr Jarrar graciously accepted the position and said “it will be my honour to work with your foundation for Muslim Unity, I will work very hard to make this convention a success God willing”.

Muhammad Umar, Chairman of the Foundation comments, “It is our pleasure to welcome Dr Jarrar on to our Executive Steering Committee, with his vast experience and reputation we will God willing be able to once again set the benchmark for Muslim Unity in the world.”

Dr Jarrar will be responsible for all middle-east correspondences and will also be the official Arabic spokesperson for the 2nd IMUC 09.

Contract signed for 2IMUC

Contract signed for 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention.

On the 23rd June 2009 at the Executive Offices of the renowned event management company MY Events, Muhammad Umar Chairman of Ramadhan Foundation and Shahul Hameed Shaik Dawood Chief Executive Officer of My Events International signed the official contract for the 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention.

Ramadhan Foundation has appointed My Events International to manage and coordinate the 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention that will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 14th – 16th December 2009.

The contract was signed and ratified on the 23rd of June 2009, by the Chairman of Ramadhan Foundation Muhammad Umar & the Chief Executive Officer of My Events International Shahul Hameed Shaik Dawood in the presence of Mohammed Saddiq Director of Communications Ramadhan Foundation and Edward Jules Media Secretary to the Malaysian Foreign Minister.
