2nd International Muslim Unity Convention - speakers announcement

The Ramadhan Foundation begins the formal announcement of the International speakers that will be attending the 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention in Kuala Lumpur from 15 - 16 December 2009.

Mr. Muhammad Umar, Chairman of the Ramadhan Foundation and Executive Chairman of the Organising Committee comments:

“I am pleased to announce the latest speakers that have confirmed to attend the Convention in Kuala Lumpur under the banner of the Ramadhan Foundation.

HE Dato' Seri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak
Prime Minister of Malaysia

The sixth and serving Prime Minister of Malaysia. He previously held the post of Deputy Prime Minister from January 7, 2004 until he succeeded Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as Prime Minister on April 3, 2009. Prime Minister Najib is currently the President of UMNO. He is also the son of Malaysia's second prime minister, Tun Abdul Razak.

Tun. Dr Mahathir Mohamad
4th Prime Minister of Malaysia

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia, a post he held for 22 years, making him Malaysia’s longest-serving Prime Minister and one of the longest-serving leaders in Asia.

He is considered as one of the world's most influential leaders and he spearheaded The Kuala Lumpur Foundation to Criminalise War.

HE Al Sayed Ali Al Hashimi
Special Advisor to His Highness President of UAE

His Excellency Al Sayed Ali al Hashimi is the one of the World’s leading Islamic scholar renowned across the globe for his knowledge and wisdom. He was the Special Adviser to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Nahyan and also had the honour to lead his funeral prayers in November 2004.

Currently he is the Religious Advisor to His Highness The President of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

HE Shaykh Abdullah bin Bayyah
Vice Chairman IUMS, Saudi Arabia

His Excellency Shaykh Abdallah bin Mahfudh ibn Bayyah is a leading Islamic scholar and a former Vice President of Mauritania, currently teaching at King Abdul Aziz University.

His Excellency Shaykh is presently involved in several organisations in the Muslim world, such as al Majma’ al-Fiqhi, which comprises a body of scholars from across the Muslim world and from different Schools of Thought (madhhabs) and viewpoints.

Malaysia Airlines confirmed has travel partner for 2IMUC

Malaysia Airlines the country's main airline carrier will be providing special assistance to all delegates and participants in making arrangements for their flights. MAS will provide special discounts for delegates and participants to attend the 2IMUC. Further information will be made available very soon via the convention website.

Mr. Muhammad Umar Chairman of 2IMUC comments, “we are very happy that Malaysia Airlines have agreed to be our official travel partner, being the nations main airline carrier, this will maximise the benefit and great offers our delegates will have access to.”

Global Islamic Summit & Trade Exhibition Dubai UAE

The Chairman of Ramadhan Foundation, Mr Muhammad Umar will be a guest speaker at the "Global Islamic Summit & Trade Exhibition (GISTEX)" schedule to take place from 7th till 9th November 2009 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai UAE.

GISTEX is being hosted under The Auspices and Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum. The keynote address will be given by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum The UAE Prime Minister and Vice-President, and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Crown Prince of Dubai.

Muhammad Umar will be speaking on the topic of "Shaping the human capital development of the next generation".

On 23rd June 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Ramadhan Foundation has appointed My Events International to manage and coordinate the 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention that will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the 14th – 16th December 2009.

This was signed and ratified on the 23rd of June 2009, by the Chairman of Ramadhan Foundation, United Kingdom –Mr. Muhammad Umar & the Chief Executive Officer of My Events International, Malaysia – Mr. Shahul Hameed Shaik Dawood.
