Shaykh Dr Muhammad Ratib An-Nabulsi confirms to speak at 3IMUC


We are very honoured to announce that the eminent and world renowned scholar Shaykh Dr Muhammad Ratib An-Nabulsi from Damascus Syria has kindly agreed to participate as a guest speaker at the 3IMUC.

Muhammad Umar, Chairman of the Executive Committee comments, “Shaykh An-Nabulsi is a person who needs no introduction, he is well respected throughout the world by both Muslims and non-Muslims, he is a person of great tolerance and understanding and having him at our convention will be a great boost to the agenda of working for Muslim Unity”.

Ramadhan Foundation is please to announce that the world's renowned and learned scholar HE Shaykh Dr Tahir al Qadri from Pakistan as confirmed his participation to speak at the 3IMUC in October 2010.

Muhammad Umar, Chairman of the Executive Committee comments, “Shaykh Qadri is a remarkable human being, someone who has dedicated his entire life for the service of Islam and Muslims, he has a long history of working for Muslim Unity and having him at the 3IMUC will be something very special”.

HE President Cassam Uteem – Former President of Mauritius

We are very please to announce that HE President Cassam Uteem – Former President of Mauritius is confirmed to give a keynote address at the 3IMUC.

Muhammad Umar, Chairman of the Executive Committee commented “I am very happy that President Uteem as agreed to come to our convention, he is a remarkable person and someone who would be instrumental in working for Muslim Unity, we look forward to welcoming him to the convention in October”.

3rd International Muslim Unity Convention

Preparations are underway for the 3rd International Muslim Unity Convention. No official date or venue has been announced but unconfirmed sources have suggested that it will take place sometime in October 2010 in Kuala Lumpur.

Muhammad Umar, Chairman of the Organising Committee said, "Inshallah the 3rd IMUC will be much bigger and will once again set the benchmark and agenda for Muslim Unity in the 21^st Century.

We are already highlighting possible speakers to invite to the 3^rd convention and all I can comment at this moment is that the 3rd Convention will be one to truly remember.”

Mr. Muhammad Umar Chairman of the Ramadhan Foundation comments:

“The 2nd International Muslim Unity Convention held on Dec 15 -16th 2009 in Kuala Lumpur was a great success, with over 25 international speakers, economists, business leaders and commentators this was the first of its kind across the world where speakers came together to talk about Muslim unity.

With representatives from the Shia, Sunni, Salafi and many other groups from the diverse global Muslim families this Convention not only talked but demonstrated unity in practice.

A keynote address from Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed, 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia started the first day along with speeches from a variety of scholars and international speakers.

I am grateful to all the international speakers and guests, sponsors, MY Events and Perdana Leadership Foundation in Malaysia for their support and commitment to this vision.

Plans have already started for the 3rd Muslim Unity Convention in 2010 and I am certain it will be bigger and better.”
